Background
Mr. Fernet is a specialist in pharmaceutical and professional law, as well as business, commercial and labour law. He began his career working for the Quebec Association of Pharmacists Owners (the “AQPP”), where he remained for approximately 10 years. During his time with the AQPP, he was called upon to take part in various negotiations with the Minister of Health and Social Services for Quebec.
He is a past president of the Quebec Order of Pharmacists and has been a speaker at conferences organized by professional associations of pharmacists and pharmacology faculties. His legal counsel is sought out by major pharmacy chains and stores, manufacturers of generic drugs and new medications and pharmacists’ associations.
In addition to his legal training, Mr. Fernet holds a bachelor’s degree in pharmacology. He is a member of the Quebec Order of Pharmacists and is a regular contributor to the newsletter L'actualité pharmaceutique.
